Valarie Lorraine Cuccia, a 20-year-old college student, went missing on May 4, 1974, in Brooklyn, New York. That evening, she and a friend hitchhiked from PS 211 Park to the Banana Fish nightclub (now defunct) located at 96th Street and 3rd Avenue. After arriving, the two friends separated inside the club.
