Treyonta Burleson, a 14-year-old girl from Nashville, Tennessee, tragically lost her life on November 3, 2015. She was fatally shot in the courtyard of the J.C. Napier Homes public housing development where she lived. The incident occurred during a heated argument between two groups of teenage girls, which escalated into gunfire. Treyonta was an eighth-grader at Two Rivers Middle School and was known for her creativity, love for basketball, and aspirations to become a nurse.
