Daniel Lee Cho, an 18-year-old student from Somis, California, disappeared on April 14, 2004, while at La Jolla Shores, San Diego. Daniel was a freshman at the University of California, San Diego, attending Sixth College. On the night of his disappearance, he was wading along the beach with two female companions around 2:30 a.m. when they were caught in a strong rip current.
