Florence Hector, a 72-year-old retired high school English teacher from Duluth, Minnesota, was last seen on May 10, 1976. That day, she left her apartment at Mount Royal Manor for a planned trip to Minneapolis but never arrived at her destination. Her car was later discovered in a parking lot in downtown Minneapolis, but there were no immediate clues as to her whereabouts.
