In the late summer of 1991, an air of quiet concern settled over Duluth, Minnesota, following the disappearance of 86-year-old Ruth Ekholm. A resident of Twig Home 2, an adult foster home in Twig, Minnesota, designed for individuals with memory loss, Ruth was a gentle soul living with Alzheimer's disease.
