Jimmy Wayne Edwards, a 22-year-old man, was last seen on August 16, 1978, in Lexington, North Carolina. He lived with his wife and child and worked at the Young Hinkle Furniture Company. Edwards had connections to the Outlaws motorcycle gang and had experienced a violent altercation shortly before his disappearance. He had been beaten and robbed by fellow gang members, and the day after, he told his wife that he planned to retrieve his money. This was the last time he was seen.
