The last day Sierra was seen was November 21, 2002. That day, her sister gave her a ride to the 800 block of North Maryland Avenue in the Back Maryland neighborhood of Atlantic City. The purpose of the visit was for Sierra to see the father of one of her daughters. She told her sister she would call when she was ready to be picked up. After waiting in the car for about an hour, her sister went to a nearby store to pay some bills, but the call from Sierra never came. She has not been seen or heard from since that day. At the time she vanished, she was wearing a black Guess jacket, a dark blue or black shirt, light blue sweatpants, and a multi-colored scarf, and she was carrying only $33 in cash.
Accounts from that day indicate that Sierra’s boyfriend at the time was the last person known to have seen her. He reported seeing her with another male friend shortly before he met with her himself. Following that encounter, all contact with Sierra ceased. Her failure to return to her children, her job, or her classes was completely out of character.
