Eric Dickson Cansler, a 40-year-old man, was last seen on August 9, 2005, in Marin, California, two days before his 41st birthday. He was reported missing after his car was discovered abandoned mid-span on the Golden Gate Bridge. Inside the car, authorities found his wallet on the dashboard, and later, a pair of sneakers believed to be his were recovered from the water below. Despite extensive investigations, Cansler has never been heard from again.
