Gerald Rabourn, 88 years old, was last seen in mid-October 2010 in San Diego, California. All contact with his family ceased around October 21, and his financial activity stopped as well. His family, who lived out of state, grew concerned and reported him missing after failing to reach him. Investigators discovered that Denise Michelle Goodwin, a caregiver hired to assist Rabourn’s wife during her hospice care, had been involved in suspicious activities surrounding his disappearance.
Following the death of Rabourn’s wife in September 2010, Goodwin began taking control of Rabourn's financial affairs. She stole nearly $600,000 from him and forged documents to sell his home and car. She misled his family for months, providing various explanations for his absence, including fabricating stories about a new marriage. Despite extensive searches, Rabourn's body has never been found.
Goodwin was eventually convicted of Rabourn’s murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole in 2014. Though his body remains missing, investigators are confident that foul play was involved based on the overwhelming evidence against Goodwin.Last Seen: Oct 19, 2010
