In the autumn of 1973, a 23-year-old woman named Suzanne Rae Justis, also known as Sue, was living in Eugene, Oregon. On or around November 2nd of that year, she traveled to Portland, Oregon. The exact a mode of transportation she used is unknown, but it is known that she had hitchhiked on occasion.
