Dennis Boyd, 65, was last seen around May 5, 2012, in Columbia County, Georgia, near Augusta. A week later, on May 12, 2012, his car was discovered abandoned off Route 215, near the Blue Ridge Parkway in Transylvania County, North Carolina. This area, known for its dense forest and rugged terrain, was extensively searched by sheriff's deputies, U.S. Forest Service crews, and local firefighters. Despite these efforts, no trace of Boyd was found.
