The story of Dennis Joe Boyd’s disappearance begins in the spring of 2012. A 65-year-old male, he was last seen around May 5, 2012, in Columbia County, Georgia, an area near Augusta. What happened in the days following this last sighting remains a mystery. His journey, for reasons unknown, would take him north into the mountains of North Carolina, leaving a trail of questions that still linger for those who know him and for the investigators tasked with finding answers.
