On June 15, 2016, the day before he went missing, Kenneth was reportedly discharged from Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. The following day, he was attempting to secure a place to stay, seeking a background check to get a bed at a local homeless shelter in the downtown area. A witness report indicated that he did return to the shelter later, only to find that there were no beds available. He was known to wear prescription eyeglasses with brown frames. Since that day, there has been no communication from him, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
