Christopher Milfort, a 22-year-old man, went missing on May 31, 2013, while swimming at South Beach Park in Vero Beach, Florida. Milfort was reportedly in the water around 6 p.m. when he encountered rough surf and did not return to shore. His disappearance triggered an extensive search operation that involved multiple agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard and Indian River County Fire Rescue.
