Eugeniusz Pastula, age 48, was last seen on January 20, 1994, when he and Robert Richard Remmer set out on a 10- to 12-day fishing trip from Erickson Marina in Tarpon Springs, Florida. They embarked on a 42-foot fishing vessel called the *Miss Black Diamond*, which was stocked and prepared for the lengthy voyage. However, a severe storm hit the area, and on January 7, the boat was found adrift approximately 70 miles off the coast of Tarpon Springs, Florida. The cabin and pilothouse were missing, and neither Pastula nor Remmer were on board.
The U.S. Coast Guard conducted an extensive search, covering over 1,300 square miles using planes and helicopters, but neither man was ever found. It is believed that the boat encountered a massive wave that caused the damage and resulted in their disappearance. Both men are presumed to have been lost at sea.
Pastula, a Caucasian male with blond hair and brown eyes, was originally from Poland. He stood 6'1" and weighed about 180 pounds. No further significant leads have emerged regarding their fate, and the case remains unsolved.
