In the spring of 2017, the life of 32-year-old Johnnie Johnson, an African-American man from Memphis, Tennessee, was tragically cut short. On the night of either April 28th or April 29th, Johnson was discovered in his 2008 Chevrolet Malibu at the intersection of Belz and Latham in South Memphis, having been shot to death. The incident, which occurred in broad daylight, immediately prompted an investigation by the Memphis Police Department.
