Paul Jordan Stooksberry, a 24-year-old student at California State University, East Bay, was last seen by his family on April 12, 2001, in Fremont, California. Before his disappearance, Stooksberry had closed all of his bank accounts and did not leave a forwarding address with his landlord. He had expressed interest in traveling to Egypt for a religious mission, and authorities later confirmed that he did enter Egypt sometime in 2001. However, there has been no further contact with him, and his whereabouts after that remain unknown.
Stooksberry was attending school but did not complete his studies before vanishing. His sudden departure, without notifying family or friends, has left investigators with few clues. The Fremont Police Department continues to handle his case, which remains unsolved.
