Paul Jordan Stooksberry, a 24-year-old student at California State University, East Bay, was last seen by his family on April 12, 2001, in Fremont, California. Before his disappearance, Stooksberry had closed all of his bank accounts and did not leave a forwarding address with his landlord. He had expressed interest in traveling to Egypt for a religious mission, and authorities later confirmed that he did enter Egypt sometime in 2001.
