Howard Pryce, a 45-year-old Jamaican national, went missing on March 9, 2012, under troubling circumstances. Pryce was reportedly part of a group attempting to be smuggled into the United States from the Bahamas. He and two other men—Turkish nationals Huseyin Oskan and Veysi Oral—were involved in a human smuggling operation, paying significant sums for the voyage. On the day he disappeared, Pryce informed his sister during a phone call that he was preparing to depart for Miami with the group.
However, Pryce and the others never arrived, and conflicting reports emerged about what happened to the vessel. Some sources suggested that the boat might have been intercepted by U.S. immigration authorities, while others later claimed that the vessel sank. Despite these reports, no evidence of a shipwreck or any trace of the missing individuals was found. Pryce’s family, including his sister in California, has expressed frustration with the lack of progress in the investigation, as they continue to seek answers.
The case remains unsolved, and despite private investigations and numerous efforts, there has been no closure regarding Pryce's whereabouts or the fate of the others in the group. Both Bahamian and U.S. authorities have been involved, but little information has come to light since his disappearance.
