Pem Michelle Yates-Briggs, a 16-year-old girl from Oregon City, Oregon, was last seen on June 1, 1979. She had left her home earlier that year in search of her father, who was living in California. On June 1, her mother received a phone call from a California police department, asking if Pem had parental permission to be in the state, which her mother confirmed. This was the last confirmed contact with Pem, and she has not been seen or heard from since.
