On a winter day in 1996, 35-year-old Cynthia Marie Grotjohn, a mother known to her friends and family as Cyndy, disappeared from the rural outskirts of Cornelius, Oregon. The last time anyone saw her was on December 3rd of that year. On that day, the vehicle she was driving became stuck in the mud in the driveway of a residence on Northwest Fernflat Road.
