On a fall afternoon in 1983, a promising young woman named Joan Leigh Hall, a 17-year-old senior at Warrenton High School, vanished without a trace from her small town of Warrenton, Oregon. On September 30th, after getting a ride from a friend from school, Joan was last seen at approximately 2:00 p.m. at the Warrenton Mini-Mart. She planned to buy a soda and then walk the short half-mile to Warrenton Grade School to help her aunt, who was a teacher. However, Joan never arrived at the school and ...
