On September 23, 2008, Armando Rodriguez, age 32, was fatally shot in San Francisco, California. The homicide was part of a series of violent acts perpetrated by the MS-13 gang, specifically the 20th Street clique, a particularly violent group operating out of the Mission District. Armando's death was linked to the violent activities of this gang, which had been escalating its criminal activities throughout San Francisco.
