Levar Watkins, a 38-year-old San Francisco resident, was fatally shot on August 27, 2017, in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. The shooting occurred around 12:40 a.m. at the intersection of Leavenworth and Ellis Streets. Watkins was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was quickly transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
