In the summer of 2017, a 26-year-old mother of four, Cynthia Crystal Martinez, was enjoying her first night out since the birth of her youngest child. On July 16, 2017, after attending a party, Cynthia went to the Tequila Nights Bar & Grill in Keizer, Oregon, with a friend and two men she didn't know. Because her black floral romper didn't have pockets, she had given her phone and ID to her friend for safekeeping. Her companions left the bar before she did, and a short time later, she was seen leaving alone. Security footage captured Cynthia leaving the bar with two men and getting into a van in the early morning hours. She has not been seen or heard from since that night. The investigation into Cynthia's disappearance quickly focused on the two men with whom she was last seen. One of the men was identified as Jaime Alvarez-Olivera, who was named a person of interest in her case. The second man was not considered a person of interest. The light blue 2004 Honda Odyssey minivan they left in belonged to Alvarez-Olivera and was later found abandoned at his ex-girlfriend's apartment in Woodburn, Oregon. Authorities believe Alvarez-Olivera fled, possibly to Mexico, shortly after Cynthia vanished. It is not believed that Cynthia knew him prior to that evening. Her family, devastated by her disappearance, has pleaded for any information that could lead to her whereabouts. Cynthia's case remains an active and open investigation, with multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Keizer Police Department and the FBI, dedicating significant resources to finding answers. Rewards have been offered for information that could lead to locating Cynthia or to the arrest of anyone responsible for her disappearance. Cynthia is described as a Hispanic female with long black hair and brown eyes, and she has numerous distinctive tattoos. At the time she went missing, she was a loving mother to four young children, the youngest being only a few months old. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance point to possible foul play, and her family continues to hold out hope for her return while navigating the profound loss of her absence.
