Summary based on the NamUs case record (MP53833) and 14 other sources
Inez Garcia, a 26-year-old woman from Santa Fe, New Mexico, was last seen on November 2, 1952. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance have remained unclear, and there are conflicting reports. One account suggests that Inez had been at a bar with her husband, and after an argument in their vehicle, she reportedly jumped out and walked away. Another version of events states that she had been out drinking with friends and left with a stranger in the early hours of the morning, never to return.

Inez's husband, Juan Andres Jose Garcia, was long considered the prime suspect in her disappearance. Despite being arrested multiple times, he was never brought to trial and passed away in 1990. In 2014, charred bone fragments were found under the dirt floor of a garage at the couple's former home. However, previous searches in 1996 had revealed only animal bones. The investigation into the bone fragments is ongoing, but no definitive answers have been found regarding Inez's fate.

Authorities suspect foul play, and Inez's loved ones do not believe she would have willingly abandoned her children. Despite these efforts, the case remains unsolved.
