In the summer of 1966, a 41-year-old vending machine salesman from Denver, Colorado, named Charles Keith Beth, traveled to Tucson, Arizona, for a business trip. Known to some as C.K. Beth, he was staying at the Ramada Inn in the downtown area of the city. On August 5, 1966, all communication from him ceased, and he was not seen or heard from again.
