Shaun Michael Searle was a 28-year-old male who disappeared from Tucson, Arizona, on June 5, 2012. At the time, he was described as being 6'1' and weighing between 180 and 190 pounds, with brown, medium-length hair and blue eyes. He had a goatee and several distinct tattoos: flames on his right wrist, a skull and flames on his right upper arm, and a dragon dagger on his chest. On the day he went missing, Shaun had a conversation with his mother that was deeply concerning.
He told her that the previous night he had become involved with some 'very bad people' and expressed a genuine fear that they were going to kill him. This conversation would be the last one she would have with her son.
Sometime between 11:00 p.m. and midnight, Shaun left his mother's residence located in the 500 block of East Elm Street. He was last seen walking down the street and has not been seen or heard from since. Alarmingly, he left without any personal belongings; his wallet, phone, cash, and credit cards were all left behind. Adding to the ominous nature of his disappearance, approximately fifteen minutes after he walked out the door, a man his mother had never seen before arrived at her home asking for Shaun. This unidentified individual returned the next day, again asking for her son's whereabouts before disappearing. This strange sequence of events has led his family to believe that he may have met with foul play.
The Tucson Police Department is handling the investigation into Shaun's disappearance. Despite the troubling circumstances, including Shaun's own statements and the appearance of the unidentified man, authorities have not been able to generate any significant leads or identify any persons of interest in the case. It is known that Shaun had a history of drug abuse and struggled with depression, which has been considered as a possible factor in his case.
