In the winter of 2015, a sense of concern grew in Fort Smith, Arkansas, surrounding the welfare of 79-year-old Irven Thomas Kuykendall. He was last seen on January 4, 2015, near the Mid-Town Apartments, located in the 1400 block of Rogers Avenue. At the time of his disappearance, he was on foot. Adding to the distress of his loved ones, Mr. Kuykendall was known to have some health challenges, including issues with his memory, hearing, and eyesight.
