Ryo John Stanistreet, a 28-year-old U.S. Air Force veteran stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base, went missing on August 30, 1982, while diving off the coast of Point Conception, California. Ryo was part of a group diving in the Pacific Ocean when their boat encountered distress. It is believed that he may have been on a small raft at the time of the incident. The raft was located later, but Ryo was never seen again. Despite extensive search efforts, he has remained missing ever since.
