In the small town of Batesville, Mississippi, the disappearance of 78-year-old Clare Faulkner Ales has remained a somber mystery for decades. On January 14, 1991, Ales was seen for the last time, walking near her residence on Kyle Road around 11:00 a.m. Five days later, concern grew when her postal carrier noticed that mail had begun to accumulate in her mailbox.
