Philip "Garr" Ohle, age 58, was last seen on September 6, 2018, in Portola, California. On that day, he left work early and returned home, where he lived with his mother and brother. After taking a shower and briefly speaking with his brother in the driveway, Philip drove off in his silver 2011 Subaru Outback without indicating where he was going. He has not been heard from since.
His vehicle was discovered a month later, on October 6, 2018, by a hunter in a heavily wooded area near Lake Davis. The car had been abandoned for some time, with Philip's wallet and cell phone inside and the ignition still in the "on" position. Despite extensive searches in the area by the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office and search and rescue teams, no trace of Philip was found, and foul play is not suspected, though the circumstances are considered unusual.
Philip's case remains unsolved, and his whereabouts are still unknown.
