On 07/16/1980 at 0926 hours, the decedent reportedly robbed a savings and loan bank and then left the scene driving a stolen vehicle. The decedent was located by local police (Sparks Police Department) and a high speed pursuit was initiated. The decedent and law enforcement reached speeds in excess of 100 mph before the decedent lost control of the vehicle, leaving the roadway, overturning multiple times.
