On 05/21/1979, the operator of a tractor was engaged in excavating for a septic tank when he discovered skeletal remains approximately 5 feet below the surface. The skeleton is essentially complete. Information received from various persons indicated that in the mid-1950's, a number of African American people had been imported into the valley as farm laborers. Racial difficulties had developed, and it is believed that this skeleton might represent one of the laborers.
