On August 15, 2024, the body of 70-year-old Jose Antonio Burciaga was discovered in San Diego, California. He was a Hispanic male who had been living with friends in Campo. That afternoon, concerned for his wellbeing, a friend of his checked on him after he had been suffering from an illness. Alarmed by his condition, the friend, along with another acquaintance, decided to transport him to a local emergency department at a San Diego Medical Center for medical attention.
