Khristian Wright, an 18-year-old from Independence, Missouri, was tragically killed on May 18, 2022. The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. near the intersection of East 39th Street and South Lynn Street. Independence Police Department officers responded to a call reporting the sound of gunshots and found Wright lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds.
