Jimmie E. Peck, an 80-year-old resident of Joplin, Missouri, was found deceased on August 22, 2022, in the backyard of his home on Terrace Drive. The discovery was made by a family member, who also found a note left by Peck. According to Sgt. Jason Stump of the Joplin Police Department, there were no signs of foul play at the scene.
