In the late summer of 2022, the community of Joplin, Missouri, was marked by the passing of a longtime resident. Jimmie Peck, an 80-year-old male, died on August 22, 2022, within the city he called home. His death was officially ruled a suicide.
Due to the nature of his death, there was no ensuing investigation into suspects or any arrests made in connection with the case.
The circumstances were determined to be non-homicidal, and as such, the matter was concluded from a criminal standpoint. The event left friends, family, and neighbors to remember the life he had lived.
