Mary Holland, aged 33, tragically lost her life on December 2, 1954, in Evansville, Indiana. She was found deceased in the restroom of Bellemeade Liquor Store, a business she co-owned with her husband, A.C. “Doc” Holland, and her father. Mary had been shot through the right temple at close range, and her body was discovered slumped behind the toilet.
