John Alan Day, a 9-year-old boy from Evansville, Indiana, tragically lost his life on October 18, 1984. The circumstances surrounding his death were part of a horrific incident where his father, James Alan Day, took the lives of all six of his children before ending his own life. The children, identified as Laura (6), Christopher (7), Stephen (8), John (9), Bart (14), and Michael (15), were each shot once in the head while they slept.
