Jose Hugo Lopez, 34, was fatally shot on June 24, 2017, in the Logan Heights neighborhood of San Diego, California. The incident occurred at approximately 11:57 p.m., when police received a 911 call reporting a shooting near the intersection of South 31st Street and Martin Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Lopez lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Lopez was transported to UCSD Hospital where he was ultimately pronounced dead.
