Kenneth Eversole, a 47-year-old resident of Indianapolis, was found dead on September 13, 2014. He was discovered lying on a sidewalk under a southside overpass in the Bates-Hendricks neighborhood. Eversole had been shot in the stomach, and police responded after receiving reports of an unconscious individual at the location. Despite their efforts, there were no immediate suspects, and the investigation did not result in any arrests.
