On a summer day in Hobart, Indiana, the life of 25-year-old Mia Katherine Jones was tragically cut short. On July 17, 2007, the young mother of two was shot and killed in her own home. The devastating event left her family and community in mourning for a woman remembered for her vibrant life and dedication to her children. A graduate of Lew Wallace High School's class of 2000, Mia was an employee of the Gary Health Department.
