In a quiet east side Indianapolis neighborhood, the morning of Friday, October 24, 2014, brought a grim discovery that shattered the area's sense of peace. Inside a Chevy Suburban parked at 3901 Southeastern Avenue, police found the bodies of two men who had been shot to death. One of the victims was identified as Steven Caldwell, a 32-year-old Black male from Indianapolis. The other man was 33-year-old Cardell Hoston.
