In the summer of 2014, a domestic dispute at a family gathering on Father's Day tragically escalated, resulting in the death of 47-year-old Wendell Vanbuskirk in Indianapolis, Indiana. The incident, which unfolded in the Mars Hill area on the city's southwest side, began after Vanbuskirk was asked to leave a residence following an altercation with his girlfriend's family.
