Derrion Estes, a 23-year-old Black male, had his life cut short on June 26, 2014, in Gary, Indiana. Known to his friends and family as "BG," Estes was discovered in an alleyway on the 1600 block of West 5th Avenue, the victim of a violent shooting. He was not alone at the gruesome scene; authorities also found the body of 17-year-old Daven James nearby.
