In a house on Fort Wayne's east side, a place known to area youth as a spot for gatherings, 20-year-old Adam Mekki was found deceased on February 24, 2016. A male of Sudanese descent, his life was cut short by multiple gunshot wounds in what authorities would describe as an 'execution-style' slaying. Alongside him were two other young men, 23-year-old Mohamedtaha Omar and 17-year-old Muhannad Tairab, who had also been fatally shot.
