Cynthia Atterberry, a 25-year-old woman, went missing on June 27, 1981, near Pike National Forest in Castle Rock, Colorado. Originally from Springfield, Illinois, she and her boyfriend, Oscar Joseph McNear, moved to Colorado in May 1981. The couple was last seen together, and after their disappearance, neither made contact with their families in Illinois again.
