In the autumn of 2016, the life of 57-year-old Lydell McLaurin came to a violent and tragic end in Gary, Indiana. On November 5th, his body was discovered, discarded between an abandoned house and its garage in the 500 block of West 39th Avenue. He had been shot to death, a grim conclusion confirmed by the Lake County coroner's office, which officially ruled his death a homicide.
