Ajonte J. Griffin, a 36-year-old resident of East Chicago, Indiana, was tragically killed in a shooting incident on February 10, 2017, in Gary, Indiana. The incident occurred early in the morning, around 1:35 a.m., when officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 300 block of McKinley Street. Upon arrival, they found Griffin and a 29-year-old woman, both with gunshot wounds.
