In the spring of 2017, the life of a young Indianapolis man, Lance 'L.J.' Arnell Washington Jr., was tragically cut short. At the age of 21, Washington was killed by gun violence on or about March 29, 2017. His official date of passing was recorded as Thursday, March 30, 2017. A male resident of Indiana, he had graduated from the Excel Center and was aspiring to become a barber.
