Joseph Prior Jr., a 32-year-old resident of Hammond, Indiana, tragically lost his life on July 25, 2018, in Michigan City, Indiana. On the evening of July 25, officers from the Uniformed Patrol Division responded to a report of a shooting on the 100 block of N. Woodland Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered that Joseph Prior Jr. had sustained a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Franciscan Health Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
