Darius Mitchell, a 27-year-old resident of Michigan City, Indiana, tragically lost his life on August 11, 2020. The incident occurred at the Pinetree Court apartment complex, located in the 900 Block of Southwind Drive, also known as Garden Estates West. On the evening of August 11, at approximately 8:45 PM, the La Porte County Regional Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting multiple gunshots in the area.
